After experiencing it myself and googling the issue, many people are having issues with nuisance calls on the iPhone.
O2 are unable to help except put through a “change of number” request, which is a bitch to those of us that do not want to change it! Either that or Jailbreak the phone which again, most of us do not want to do.
Apple support suggests we can push for a number blocking feature to be added to a future update.
So, anyone who is looking to block a number, fill out the below and cross your fingers!

Please make this function free in a new update, so many competitors phones have a similar function so why can’t the best phone in the world have it too. I <3 my iPhone, but would love it more if I could stop unwanted calls and sms from certain people

PLEASE, add a feature to block certain numbers. My last phone did it and it was an amazing feature. I love my iPhone and this is the only thing its missing.

Please, this application is desperately needed. Nuisance and harassment via mobile phone is extremely distressing for the victim and a change of number cuts the victim off from their support networks.
Samsung have this as standard, it’s about time Aplle stepped up to the mark

Create a free or cheap of charge application for the iPhone on all of the models, a lot of iPhone users are going under pressure of getting a new simcard which is quite a waste of your own time as well as the iPhone consumers. The consumers must have to give their number out again to their friends and it can get very complicated. Instead of giving a free Sim card, there must be an application made!

im getting premium rate texts that wont let me unsubscribe, i need to keep this number and O2 are no help whatsoever, apple this would be a major advantage for the iphone,as i know a few samsungs etc already have this feature. please get it sorted guys. cheers, trev
There is software available which I have seen in the Apps Store but when I tried to obtain it I was informed that it was only available in the US and not currently in the UK, typical!!!!
Please incorporate blocking incoming number on the I-phone I don’t want to have to change my number to one or two hundred people just to rid of a couple of pests.
Someone called Alan keeps giving my number out to people and as much as I tell I don’t even know the guy they wont stop calling, please please help.

Please give us a way to block unwanted calls. While I love my new iPhone, I have to say I was shocked there is no way to do this. I have been getting lots of nuisance calls over and over during my work day. I would love to be able to block those telemarketers…both with known numbers and unknown numbers.

i think this is a great idea even if people dont want it wont be a pain but apple should charge a little for it make a bundle good business idea (more money for the bank of apple) ;)

My wife refuses to buy an Iphone without this feature please make it available she has a Samsung eternity and you can not tell me that it is a better phone
Please introduce this feature asap. Computer generated spam calls are a major problem these days and we must have the facility to block them soon!
Why should the victims of harassment be the ones to have to change their number? That surely is being victimised again! Apple pls add an app instead of adding to the distress of victims!
Would love to see this implemented. I’m being harassed by a psychopath and can do nothing about it :( Can’t change my number I use it for work and would be too much of a hassle to change it.
