iPhone – The campaign
After experiencing it myself and googling the issue, many people are having issues with nuisance calls on the iPhone.
O2 are unable to help except put through a “change of number” request, which is a bitch to those of us that do not want to change it! Either that or Jailbreak the phone which again, most of us do not want to do.
Apple support suggests we can push for a number blocking feature to be added to a future update.
So, anyone who is looking to block a number, fill out the below and cross your fingers!

My Samsung had a Reject list that was great for unwanted calls. I had a choice to “add to reject list” and my phone never rang when the call came from this number. I’m sure Appleyou can do better.
I know tons of people that want Apple + At&T to create a function to block blocked calls. Please help the people that are buying your phones + not the companies paying for phone lists.

Please can you do something to create a method of blocking nuiscance numbers, I get calls from the same number day in day out that ring twice and hang up, I called back once as my number is a business line but it’s just a sales line, it is costing business as I often have to end other calls to take numbers that are just nuiscance numbers, please do something, surely if samsung can, apple can!

Please, this application is desperately needed. Nuisance and harassment via mobile phone is extremely distressing for the victim and a change of number cuts the victim off from their support networks.
Samsung have this as standard, it’s about time Aplle stepped up to the mark

Create a free or cheap of charge application for the iPhone on all of the models, a lot of iPhone users are going under pressure of getting a new simcard which is quite a waste of your own time as well as the iPhone consumers. The consumers must have to give their number out again to their friends and it can get very complicated. Instead of giving a free Sim card, there must be an application made!

im getting premium rate texts that wont let me unsubscribe, i need to keep this number and O2 are no help whatsoever, apple this would be a major advantage for the iphone,as i know a few samsungs etc already have this feature. please get it sorted guys. cheers, trev
There is software available which I have seen in the Apps Store but when I tried to obtain it I was informed that it was only available in the US and not currently in the UK, typical!!!!
Please incorporate blocking incoming number on the I-phone I don’t want to have to change my number to one or two hundred people just to rid of a couple of pests.

Please give us a way to block unwanted calls. While I love my new iPhone, I have to say I was shocked there is no way to do this. I have been getting lots of nuisance calls over and over during my work day. I would love to be able to block those telemarketers…both with known numbers and unknown numbers.

i think this is a great idea even if people dont want it wont be a pain but apple should charge a little for it make a bundle good business idea (more money for the bank of apple) ;)
Please incorporate a feature that will block calls. I love my new iPhone, I was surprise to find out that there is no way to do this. Why should the victims of harassment be the ones to have to change their number? That surely is being victimised again! Apple pls add an app instead of adding to the distress of victims!

Apple or AT&T really needs to get on the ball. This is rediculous. I’ve been getting three or four calls a day from unknown callers and all they do is breathe on the other end. Why can’t I block anonymous calls. This is Rediculous.
I’m constantly harassed by my fruitcake of an ex (we live and learn). Due to work I can’t just change my number and I’m very close to binning my believed iPhone for a Samsung purely for the blocking feature. Sort it out Apple, you’ve got enough funds and resources!

If Samsung can do it surely Apple can! Pull your finger out Apple, this is a something your customers are requesting! Iphones are expensive and a simple thing like this is not too much to ask.

I met a woman, bunny boiler, emotionally defunked, a crier, oh I had a hundred and one things go on in my life etc… yet i’m still unable to change and have forward thinking like get your keys ready onway to door as opposed to having to spend an hour going through a briefcase sized hand bag in the freezing cold wind and rain…

The ability to block a number from calling your phone should just be standard with the iphone. I cannot believe that we even have to go through something like this to get them to offer the ability to do so. Can’t someone make an app that would do this??

Hard to believe it is not possible to block these calls. I’m getting several every day, all from the same number. Seems like no regulatory authority can do anything about it either. I enjoy my i-phone but I’ll be changing to a Samsung or some other phone which allows individual numbers to be blocked next time. Vote with your feet, people. It’s the only way to get this resolved.

I have an ex that wont leave me alone, please put this as an option as it stops me changing my mobile number..
We should have the right to control our calls, either received or made and all phones should employ the option to block and unwanted call or txt followed up with a message to the originator letting them know their call or txt has been rejected and not received

It’s 2011, iPhone 4 has been out for awhile now, and yet there’s still no way to block annoying calls?! Sheesh, even my $25 Samsung clam phone I used to used had this BASIC option available. In fact, every cell phone I’ve ever owned has this feature – it’s that easy to implement and that basic of a need for any phone user.
This list was started in 2009 and still Apple hasn’t added this simple option. I beg you, Apple company, PLEASE make this a standard feature option on the iPhone (and NOT a paid app – this shouldn’t cost a dime for consumer or $.99 either – this should be free). And Apple, please don’t forget that the iPhone is just that – a PHONE, albeit a very sophisticated one – and should still have all the regular options that all the other cell phones in the world have.

Apple please will you release an update to block nuisance calls. I have changed my number already and i cant deal with changing it again. A simple app or click with your permission will solve everyones problem. If android release this before the iphoone 5 then sure i will move and i bet so will half the apple users.

It is a pain to receive unwanted sales calls and they never give up calling at all hours of the day and night. This is normally a standard feature on any phone. Please provide this functionality. Users have been requesting this since early 2009.

We’ve never bought whatever the hell these people are selling; and never will when their method of sale is to pester you at literally any hour so that you can answer ‘a few quick questions about if I’m happy or not with my loft insulation’.
